Wii Quick Shot Reviews
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Good value, fun and well-made accessory, By = Fun: This review is from: Wii Quick Shot (Video Game) Background Info--------------- Purchased this for use with the Wii game "House of the Dead: Overkill". Had considered the Nyko Perfect Shot and also the Official HOTD:Overkill Hand Cannon (only available in the UK but I have relatives visiting soon). Was intrigued by the built-in nunchuk and got a good price via [...] / Amazon Payments. Build Quality ------------- Chunky! Expected it to be naff but it's actually rather well made. Quite hefty once the remote is in place, requires a Weaver grip during long sessions. Fits my hand well but it's too big for my wife as her hands are considerably smaller (she's a 5' tall Asian, I'm a 5'9" white guy); worth bearing in mind if you're looking for a suitable gun accessory for your kids / partner. The Nyko Perfect Shot has an orange end clip that holds the gun in place; if you lose it, you're in trouble (watched a YouTube review where the guy's toddler had stolen it!). The Intec... Resident Evil 4: Forget about it, the game aims with "B" and fires with "A." Therefore rendering the controller useless in this game as the trigger aims in and you have to reach up to to press the "A" button to fire. This defeats the purpose of the controller and the built in numchuck is awkard to use. 2. House of the Dead: Overkill: This controller was made for this game! There is a button under the clip that acts as the reloading button. Shifting/jerking the controller will also reload. There is no need for the numchuck in the game. I'd say the grip is just about the right size; not too big and not too small. If your aim is off, there is a calibration setting within the game so that you can calibrate the controller to be in line with your sights. There is no click or spring action with the trigger and the wii remote is a tight fit; that thing is... Read more Excellent addition to shooting games, = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Wii Quick Shot (Video Game) Overall, the gun is an excellent addition to several shooting games. If your game is compatible with the Wii zapper or has a custom rifle setting, you're ready to go. As noted in numerous other reviews, the Wii remote is a snug fit inside the gun and the strap must be removed. Since I normally have a remote without case or strap serving as a remote control for my netflix, that doesn't bother me. As to the snug fit, the gun it quite sturdy, and I have never had the slightest concern that it would break when inserting or removing the remote. Steady, gentle pressure gets the job done quite easily. The construction allows access to the buttons on the top of the remote, and there is a large button on the bottom of the gun with functionality for many games as well as a built in nunchuck. The weight is realistic when a remote is added, and, although it is a rather large gun, it is quite comfortable, even with my smaller hands. Overall, a very nice addition to my Wii system. |
