I just purchased one of these basses for a backup & drop tuning and it is made alright. I had to do some minor adjustments after putting on new strings, such as: intonation, action and treating the neck. The fretboard was really dry, but I treated it with some Dunlop neck cleaner and some fretboard oil and it is fine now. I had to adjust the bow in the neck, but that can happen becouse of weather ect, I can't blame the manufacturer. I had to file the side of the frets were they are crimped from the neck, becouse of them sticking out and being sharp, again the weather could cause this and is not totaly a manufacturer issue. For the money it is not a bad bass and is built OK otherwise. A very light bass and the trans red finish is great. I have guitar body wax that I keep on it for protection. This is a overseas made bass and becouse of this, you will have issues of some kind. I would like to add that the store were I purchased mine, had a staff that knew nothing in the way of guitar...
