It's easy for our 19 month old to climb in and out of the seats by himself and the storage bin is handy. My only complaint is that the paint is easily scratched, and although the instructions state that touch up paints are available, I'd rather have the initial quality a little better. Our daughter has used it for crafts, eating, reading, school work, etc. The reviewer who said her 2 year old leaned on the table and broke it must have gotten a defective one, because we've had this set for several years (maybe 5?) and it has held up very well despite being leaned on, sat on, stood on, and moved from one room of the house to another... never a problem. The finish has withstood crayon, glue, paint, pencils, markers; you name it! I have no doubt that the set will hold up for, at least, another 5 years for our baby when she is big enough to use it. The reviewer's son who broke the table must have been huge, because our 50 pound 7 year old and her friends still use this table and sit in the benches. Their legs are a bit long for the benches, but even at this age they don't "dwarf" it as the reviewer said her 2 year old does. It isn't small at all, so I have to wonder if that reviewer reviewed the wrong... Read more |
